Interjections are usually words or short phrases that express a certain emotion depending on the intonation. These emotions can include a variety of feelings like excitement, approval, disapproval, disappointment or surprise. Here are 25 useful interjections you should know in Spanish. These are a great addition to your everyday speech and will help you spice up your conversational skills as well. In addition, these interjections can be a helpful response or be used as a reaction to show that you understand what the speaker is saying and  will make you sound more like a native.

Note that interjections commonly use formal and informal command forms as well as nouns and adjectives.
